VRTUCAR‘s car sharing service is a means of having access to a car when needed, without the burden of ownership, insurance and maintenance. Car sharing has a number of benefits. First, it’s much cheaper than owning and operating a private vehicle. Car sharing offers affordable access to a reliable vehicle, addressing social equity issues for those who can’t afford a car of their own. It also significantly reduces per capita carbon emissions which helps to improve our local air quality. And, car sharing also reduces the number of vehicles on our residential streets, fostering more pedestrian-friendly and child-friendly areas in which to live.VRTUCAR plans to park two of their vehicles at Beaver Barracks to provide residents and the surrounding community with a convenient and environmentally sensitive alternative to car ownership.
